Genitourinary syndrome of menopause: what to know
Research & Strategy I began by conducting extensive competitor research to identify themes and gaps in existing menopause education content. Using UXR insights and internal surveys, I developed a comprehensive curriculum outline addressing women's top concerns: symptoms, medication options, lifestyle modifications, supplements, support resources, and the impact of menopause on bone, joint, pelvic, and muscle health — plus how movement and physical therapy could help manage these changes (company niche).
Framework Development To ensure consistency across this large content library, I created a tenets document establishing voice, tone, and messaging guardrails. This document defined how we would position ourselves and communicate with our audience on sensitive menopause topics. I circulated this with internal stakeholders, gathering feedback to align cross-functional teams before production began.
Drafting and Evidence Synthesis I conducted literature reviews and curated vetted sources for each topic area, then synthesized research, curriculum outlines, education tenets, and menopause education expertise into accurate, accessible first drafts aligned with clinical guidelines and brand voice.
Clinical Review & Publication After incorporating editorial feedback, I moved content through the clinical review process, managing stakeholder coordination and revisions. For the final publication phase, I selected appropriate visuals for each article, published content and imagery in Contentful, interfaced with Smartling translation software to localize content for diverse audiences, and ultimately published all 57 articles to the app — making this comprehensive menopause education library available to our members.
